Located in Wilmington along the beautiful North Carolina Coast, Lumina Winery and Brewing Company is dedicated to the production of small batch quality wines and beers. We offer wine tastings daily in our tasting room/retail shop. We also have on premises wine and beer permits, so enjoy a glass of wine or a beer while you are here. Our Sweet Carlos, Carlos Gold, and Wrightsville Red are made from muscadine grapes. Try our semi-sweet wines such as our Green Apple Riesling, Peach-Apricot Chardonnay or Raspberry Merlot. Or try our Blueberry All of our dry reds are aged in American Oak Barrels. Our Cabernet Sauvignon and Shiraz have been in the barrel for over 2 years! Lumina Brewing Company is dedicated to producing beer in small batches. We brew our beer right on premises. All of our beer is fresh with no preservatives. We specialize in brewing German and Bohemian Style Beer. We brew our European-style beer in accordance with the Bavarian Brewing Tradition of “Reinheitsgebot,” the German beer purity law of 1516. This means that nothing is added to the beer except yeast, hops, water and grain. All of our Bavarian Style Beer contains malt and hops from Germany. Our Brew masters have extensively traveled Germany and the Czech Republic and have visited many breweries to learn the art of old world style brewing. Our summer ale is made with wheat and pilsner malts, bitter and sweet orange peel as well as lemon peel. This is our most popular beer, this is why we are brewing it year round.
