Bentonville Battlefield State Historic Site
Home to the largest Civil War land battle to take place on North Carolina soil visitors to the site can walk the fields on which 80,000 Union and Confederate soldiers fought. Tour the nearby Harper House, where wounded from both sides were treated and the museum exhibits. Located in eastern Johnston County, minutes from I-95 at Exit 90.
