Cameron Art Museum

This 42,000-sq.-ft. state-of-the-art museum features two centuries of NC and US art and boasts one of the world's major collections of the romantic color prints of Mary Cassatt. The permanent gallery displays works by Minnie Evans, Claude Howell and many others. The museum, celebrating 50 years, is committed to arts education and presents exhibitions and public programs of both historical and contemporary significance, with 6-8 changing exhibitions annually Pyramid Park, on more than 9 acres, features long-leaf pine woodlands, outdoor sculptures, nature trails, and a historic Civil War site. A full service café, Café Johnnie, is located in the heart of the museum and serves lunch Tuesday through Sunday, 10:00 am to 5:00 pm.
