Kerr Lake State Recreation Area
A 50,000-acre lake (North Carolina & Virginia) with over 800 miles of shoreline. Kerr Lake offers fishing, swimming, boat ramps, two fishing piers, tot lots, ball field, tent and RV camping, picnicking, bird watching and hiking. Community buildings, campsites, and picnic shelters are for rent. Major fishing tournaments, boating and skiing are popular water sports on Kerr Lake. The Kerr Lake Recreation Area Visitors Center is open to the public.
