Appalachian Ski Mountain
The NC High Country's first ski area. Skiing since 1962. Two quad chairlifts, one double chairlift, one conveyor lift, one handle pull lift. Twelve ski slopes and three terrain parks. Season: Friday before Thanksgiving through mid-March, weather permitting. Open seven days a week. Night skiing beginning first Friday in December. Refrigerated Outdoor Ice Skating Arena w/ three sessions daily. 2200 sets of skis. Equipment rentals, 650 snowboard rentals, clothing rentals & helmet rentals.
