Missiles & More Museum

During World War II, a select group of young, daring, female pilots became not only pioneers but heroes. They were the WASP (Womens AirForce Service Pilots), the first women trained to fly American military aircraft. They served domestically, ferrying and testing, towing targets and training men to fly. The Missiles and More Museum opens a new exhibit on April 4 that traces the history of this elite group of women and pays tribute to their service and valor. Other exhibits at the Museum include: Pirates of the Carolinas, Operation Bumblebee, Camp Davis, The Towns of Topsail Island, Topsail's Natural Beauty and Fragility, Traces of Native Americans on the Island and an International Shell Exhibit.
