Replicated on the waterfront in Historic Plymouth, the lighthouse allows one to experience life as a lighthouse keeper. It has been built to look as it did from 1866-1885. Climb to the top and experience a most beautiful view of the Roanoke River. At the Museum, enjoy a wealth of photographs that share the story of the river's impact on fishermen, farmers, foresters, merchants, soldiers, papermakers…and most of the people who lived here or passed through this place and neighboring towns.
