One of three North Carolina Maritime Museums. A unique museum dedicated to preserving and interpreting the rich maritime history of the Outer Banks and the 1,000 known shipwrecks that rest off this coast. The Museum has opened two new exhibits: “Pirates, Scalawags and Brigands: The Golden Age of Piracy” and “USS Monitor.”
