Description

This museum tells the story of the segregated Marine Corp in the early days of WWII. It tells the history of black American heroes that fought not only the war, but the bigotry of the South - (1) for the opportunity to stand up and fight for their country, and (2) the respect of doing the same job as their white counterparts! Recently, the museum has celebrated the arrival of a 90 millimeter M1A1 anti-aircraft weapon system which was the primary weapon the Montford Point Marines used to train with. Finally it has been returned to its rightful resting place.
