Finch Park offers a spectacular variety of features and activities for park visitors. Three picnic areas available by reservation for individuals, groups, churches and civic organizations. All picnic shelters are handicapped accessible. Additional picnic tables are available throughout the park.
Enjoy a 1.25 mile walk around the perimeter of the lake or a stroll through the nature trail, which follows along extensive wooded areas. The lake, stocked by the North Carolina State Division of Fish, Game and Wildlife, offers anglers of all ages prime fishing locations. There are two softball fields, when not reserved are on a first-come, first serve basis. A full size basketball court is located near the entrance of the park. Two playground areas and the Duracell Open-Air Theater which host musical entertainment for your family during your park experience.
Finch Park host two major festivals: The Multi-Cultural Festival and the Fantastic July Fourth Festival. In May enjoy a great cultural experience, ethnic cuisine, music, and dance at the Multi-Cultural Festival. Pack your picnic, bring your lawn chairs, blankets, family and friends, and enjoy the "Fireworks Extravaganza" at the Fantastic July Fourth Festival. There will be amusement rides, live entertainment, and concessions for all.
