Catawba Science Center

Catawba Science Center is a nonprofit science and technology museum providing hands-on learning for all ages, with more than 18,000 square feet of exhibit space for visitors to explore physical, natural and earth sciences. Aquarium galleries take visitors through immersive freshwater and marine habitats, with opportunities to touch live creatures, including sharks and stingrays. A 65-seat, full dome planetarium theater features astronomy talks, immersive digital presentations in surround sound and laser light shows. Traveling exhibits rotate throughout the year. I-40, exit 125. Follow Lenoir-Rhyne Blvd North and turn left onto 1st Ave SW. Turn right onto Hwy 127 North. Science Center in SALT block 1/2 mile on right.
