The Western North Carolina Air Museum is the first air museum in the state of North Carolina, known as the "First in Flight" state. The museum features award-winning restored and replica antique and vintage airplanes.
The hours are (weather permitting):
April-October Wednesday and Sunday from 12Noon-6:00pm, Saturday 10:00am-6:00pm;
November-March Wednesday, Saturday and Sunday from 12:00Noon-5:00pm.
There is no admission charge.

Interstate 26 to Exit 53 (Old Exit 22). Go West on Upward Road. Turn Right onto US-176 (Spartanburg Highway). Turn Right onto Shepherd Street. Go 2 blocks to Brooklyn Avenue. Turn Left onto Brooklyn. The Museum is 3 blocks up, on the Right, adjacent to the Hendersonville Airport
