Cape Lookout National Seashore is located on NC's Southern Outer Banks on the Crystal Coast and consists of three undeveloped barrier islands covering 55 miles. Activities include: fishing, swimming, birding, boating, windsurfing, kayaking and shelling. Cape Lookout Lighthouse is located on south Core Banks and is accessible by public ferry or private boat. Primitive camping allowed. Visitors should bring drinking water, sunscreen and bug spray. Pets are allowed on leash and on public ferries (contact individual ferries for more information(www.nps.gov/calo/planyourvisit/ferry.htm), Pets are not allowed in concession lodgings or other buildings on the grounds of Cape Lookout National Seashore. Ranger interpretive programs available in-season.
