One of the stops along the Strawberry Picking and Farm Heritage Trails, this original grist mill was built in 1757, while North Carolina was still a colony. The present mill building was built in 1950. It has been in continuous operation for over 250 years and is the only water powered grist mill operating in the area. Free tours available. A wide variety of cornmeal and flour products are available by mail order or through the gift shop. Just minutes from I-95 and US Hwy 70 Business near Clayton.
