Description

Explore North Carolina’s rich heritage and learn about its people. Compelling exhibits highlight the state’s military history, sports heroes, decorative arts and more. Engaging multimedia components help bring the past to life. Monthly programs include craft demonstrations, musical performances, and family events with things to do for all ages. The Museum Shop features North Carolina crafts. The history museum is located at 5 East Edenton Street in downtown Raleigh.

Admission is free, although some special exhibits require a fee. Free parking is available on weekends. Hours are Monday through Saturday, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., and Sunday, noon to 5 p.m. For more information, call 919-807-7900 or go to ncmuseumofhistory.org or Facebook®.
