Located off NC 181 near Linville Falls in the Pisgah National Forest, Grandfather Ranger District. There are 3 popular climbing faces for adventures; however climbing around waterfalls is forbidden.
Table Rock, called "Attocoa" by the Cherokee Indians, was their mystic altar for sacred ceremonies. Known as Burke County's natural landmark, Table Rock towers at 3950 feet above sea level. The views overlooking the Gorge are spectacular.
