Known throughout the world for breeding and protecting rare and endangered waterfowl – ducks, geese and swans – as well as other birds such as owls, cranes, toucans, kookaburras, and more! Features the world’s largest collection of waterfowl in continentally-themed aviaries. Visitors can hand-feed colorful parakeets and flamingos in the interactive Landing Zone exhibit, or get closer to North Carolina's native wildlife in the beaver pond blind and a treehouse overlooking natural wetlands. Other attractions include a playground, picnic area, fossil dig, gift shop and more.

We offer self-guided tours but guided tours are also available by appointment so please ask if you’re interested!
