This quirky hot-spot is an ingeniously redeveloped prefab metal building nestled in the city's historic district, Jengo's is one of six buildings belonging to a burgeoning artistic compound located in Wilmington's Soda Pop District, an area known for a scattered collection of creative entrepreneurs. Just down the block lies the old Coca-Cola Bottling Factory, giving the district it's uniquely appropriate nickname. The multi-media arts facility contains six working artist studios occupied by filmmakers, painters, sculptors and anchored by the headquarters of the Cucalorus Film Festival. The centerpiece of the facility is a 52-seat micro-cinema used by local filmmakers for private premiers and by many local non-profits as a meeting space and alternative venue.
