Take a family hayride with storytelling about “the most historically active place” along the Blue Ridge Parkway. An Appalachian cultural & historical center celebrating the people, music, art & natural beauty of the Blue Ridge Mountains. A century old, the Orchard sits astride the Parkway, preserving some of the most amazing scenery in NC.

Enjoy heirloom apples, authentic local music, arts & crafts in the gift shop. Free music and special happenings every day! Open Mic Mobs at 1:30. Music JAM Session Weds at 1:30. Try Miss Charlotte's homemade fudge and hot orchard apple pie a la mode.

During summer enjoy Super Saturdays, special Appalachian heritage activities for kids age 6-12. Kids learn how to weave a garden loom, carve sweet potato figures, play a harmonica or wilderness survival. Bus parking and group tours available.
