Linville Caverns

Step beneath Humpback Mountain and explore North Carolina's only show cavern at Linville Caverns. Guided tours wind through underground passages filled with stalactites, stalagmites and an active stream where native trout swim year-round. The cave stays a cool 50 degrees in every season, making it a refreshing stop after exploring nearby Linville Gorge and the Blue Ridge Parkway. Keep an eye out for salamanders, bats and high-water marks left behind by historic floods as you journey beneath the mountains. Linville Caverns is also one of the few caverns in the country with a partially wheelchair-accessible tour.
