Wine Harvest in NC
As summer turns to fall in North Carolina, vineyards across the state begin harvesting this year's vintage. It's a process that requires a lot of work, a little luck, and constant weather watching, but one that winemakers look forward to every year. North Carolina has a growing number of wineries (nearly 90 at last count) that produce award-winning wines for every taste, from dry reds and whites to sweet muscadines.
