Hollywood East
Welcome to Wilmington, North Carolina – otherwise known as "Hollywood East". Wilmington boasts the largest film and television studio east of Los Angeles, and has natural and man-made settings that can substitute for just about any part of the world in any time period. The area has been home to more than 350 movie and television productions since Dino DeLaurentis filmed his movie Firestarter here in 1983. Some of the productions shot here include Dawson's Creek, One Tree Hill, Blue Velvet, A Walk To Remember, The Secret Life of Bees, and Nights in Rodanthe.
