Seymour Johnson Air Force Base
Located in the heart of Goldsboro, NC, Seymour Johnson Air Force Base is home to the 4th Fighter Wing, flying F-15E Strike Eagles on combat missions all over the world, and the 916th Air Refueling Wing, which performs precision refueling missions for aircraft from all branches of the US Military and its allies. The base gives free public tours monthly, allowing visitors to see military aircraft and weaponry up close, and also to meet the airmen who serve their country here every day.

The public tours at Seymour Johnson AFB are usually on the last Thursday of the month, but since the last Thursday of this month is Thanksgiving, you may want to call the Wayne County Chamber at 866-440-2245 to see if there are alternate plans. You also need to call ahead so they can get the security clearance you need to be on base. Hope that helps!

We will be in Mount Olive 11/24 - 11/29/09. Is there a day and time we can tour the Air Force Base? My son who is going to be 12 just joined Cicil Air Patrol and wants to join the Air Force when hes older. We are hoping to be moving to Mount Olive next summer and would really love to see the Base. Let me know. Thanks
