Missiles & More Museum
This Topsail Island museum is dedicated to preserving and sharing the history of the area's military involvement. Visitors will see missiles from Operation Bumblebee, the secret guided missile testing program the Navy conducted on Topsail between 1946 and 1948. Also on display are pictures and artifacts from Camp Davis, which served as an important antiaircraft training center during World War II; a new feature about the Osprey Aircraft which is being tested at nearby New River Air Station; and an exhibit focusing on 10 of the most notorious pirates who plundered ships traveling up and down the Atlantic.
