Coast Guard Cutter Diligence

When the US Coast Guard Cutter Diligence isn't rescuing mariners or stopping shipments of illegal drugs at sea, it's tied up right in the middle of downtown Wilmington, its home port. The crew of the Diligence gives free tours to the public when the ship is in town, including a look at the bridge and the flight deck, offering visitors a rare glimpse of an active Coast Guard vessel. The people of Wilmington have embraced the Diligence and its crew as part of their community, and Wilmington is one of only seven cities in the country to earn the designation of official "Coast Guard City".
