The Dismal Swamp State Park provides a bridge into the swamp's mysterious past. Black bears, butterflies and neo-tropical birds all call this unusual eco-system home.

Visited yesterday and rode the bike trails. Reminded me of Seashore State park a little. It looks like it will be a very nice park when all the elements are added. The exhibits are well done and the structure is very environmentally friendly. I would like to see a bike loop established so that you do not have to ride the trail twice. Enjoyed the colors of the forest and the carpet of the leaves on the hard packed road. I will come again and bring friends.
