Currituck Wild Horses
Out on North Carolina's Currituck Outer Banks is a herd of about 80 beautiful wild horses. The horses are descendants of Spanish Mustangs brought to America by 16th Century explorers, and they have survived nearly five centuries of storms, disease, and development. Today, they thrill thousands of visitors every year, as they frolic in the surf, graze on the dunes, and pose for dramatic pictures along the beautiful beaches of the Currituck Outer Banks.
