The Haw River Wine Trail – Piedmont Region

Four Wineries, Distance of 45.9 Miles – Conveniently located between North Carolina’s Triad (Greensboro/Winston-Salem/High Point) and its Triangle (Raleigh/Durham/Chapel Hill), this set of four artisan wineries makes for a convenient, leisurely drive along the path of the scenic Haw River.

Whether you enjoy European varietals such as Chardonnay and Cabernet Savingnon, Muscadine wines like Carlos and Magnolia, or sweet dessert wines made from Blackberries or Strawberries, you’ll find something to enjoy on this trail. All of these wineries are known for their Southern Hospitality and personalized attention, and there’s always a great place to spread out a picnic blanket and enjoy the day. There are also many coordinated wine trail events such as winemaker’s dinners, food and wine pairings, and free music concerts to experience throughout the year.
