The Duplin/I-40 Wine Trail – Coast Region

Three Wineries, Distance Of 51.5 Miles – With three wineries just minutes from the Interstate 40 corridor, this wine trail is perfect for the muscadine lover headed to or from the Wilmington area. This trail features the largest winery in the South, the Duplin Winery, which makes dozens of wines from muscadine grapes and features a restaurant and dinner theater on the property. The Bannerman Winery uses grapes only from its own vineyard, one of the oldest in the state, and the Lumina Winery in Wilmington produces several exotic-sounding wines such as Blueberry Pinot Noir and Peach-Apricot Chardonnay, as well as being a major source of homebrewing supplies for the Wilmington area.
