Muscadine Heritage Wine Trail
Four Wineries, Distance Of 47.94 Miles
Enjoy a journey of history, family, culture and wine along this four-winery, 48-mile trail. Each of the wineries on the Muscadine Heritage Wine Trail are family-owned and operated and booming with rich history dating back to the mid-1700s. Although each winery offers delectable muscadine wines, they also produce a variety of fruit wines, jellies and juices.
Not only will you enjoy a day at the vineyard, but you can learn about the benefits of the muscadine grape seed, meet the local families who have been farmers in Johnston County for several generations or discover a winery that may host your special event or a romantic wedding on the vineyard.
The Muscadine Heritage Wine Trail in Johnston County is conveniently located along I-95 and I-40, just 30 minutes east of Raleigh. The wine trail program offers a free gift for visiting all four participating wineries.
