Brunswick Wine Mini-Trail: Coast

Two Wineries, Distance Of 14.9 Miles – These two NC Wine stops, just minutes away from the popular Brunswick County destinations of Ocean Isle Beach and Sunset Beach, offer a relaxing diversion from the sun, sand and golf of the coast.

The Silver Coast Winery sits on a 40-acre site surrounded by lush woods, and offers a wide variety of wine as well as an art gallery filled with paintings and sculptures. The Grapefull Sisters Vineyard promotes both its peaceful setting in southeastern Columbus County and the health benefits of its native muscadine wines. Grapefull Sisters also has the Inn d’Vine Bed & Breakfast and Carroll Woods Campground for those who decide to stay awhile.

Wines: Sister’s Folly Carlos, Old Timer’s Festival, Waccamaw White, Waccamaw Red, Tabor’s Choice Red, Red Roof Burgundy, Southern Charm, Picnic Red, Sunset Blush.

Directions:

  1. From Ocean Highway West (US 17): Turn north onto Longwood Road NW, then bear right on Russtown Road NW. Turn right onto Barbeque Road. Silver Coast Winery is at the end of the road.
  2. Return to Russtown Road NW and take a right. Follow for one mile, then take a left onto Bellamy Road NW. Go for another mile, then turn right onto Longwood Road NW. After one mile, go left at Pireway Road (NC 904), and follow for 6.3 miles. Take a right onto NC 904/905 and continue for another 3.9 miles. Turn left onto Dulah Road and continue straight as it turns into Ramsey Ford Road. The Grapefull Sisters Vineyard will be on your left.
  3. To return to US Highway 17, go back to NC 904, turn right, and follow until it intersects with US Highway 17.

Winery hours vary seasonally. Please call ahead to be sure the vineyards you want to visit will be open when you arrive. Please drink responsibly. Designate a driver.
