Asheville Legendary Gingerbread Tour

Asheville – Do you like gingerbread houses? Then you’ll love this tour. A Grey Line trolley will take you around town to four different inns, each decked out in holiday lights and each featuring a spectacular gingerbread creation. This year’s theme is the beloved poem ‘Twas The Night Before Christmas, and each gingerbread house will feature a scene from that holiday classic.

Meadow Lights

Near Benson - The country crossroads of Meadow, a farming community, celebrates the season with the largest fantasy of Christmas lights in the area. Enjoy an authentic live manger scene, a carousel ride, and lights all along a country trail. Visit the old-fashioned candy store, ride the Santa train, and even have a visit with Santa himself!

Chetola Festival of Lights

Blowing Rock - A holiday tradition in Blowing Rock, Chetola’s Festival of Lights features over 50,000 illuminations attracting thousands of visitors each year. Drive around Chetola Lake and view glittering ice skaters, a nativity scene, Rudolph catching a “big fish” and much more.

Clemmons - Experience the Southeast’s largest Holiday Light Show featuring 180 displays with over a million lights, 72 of which are animated. The Holiday Gift Village features a large gift shop, concessions and the giant marshmallow roaster. Hay rides and carriage rides are available by reservation. 6-11 pm.

Christmas at Körner’s Folly

McAdenville – This small Gaston County town transforms into Christmas Town U.S.A. on Dec 1. The best time to view the dazzling displays of Christmas lights is Monday through Thursday. You also can enjoy the lights Friday through Sunday, but traffic is heavier on these days, and waits of 30 to 45 minutes are not unusual.

Wrightsville Beach - Start the day on Saturday, November 28, with an arts & crafts show, performing artists, children's rides, antique auto show entertainment, amusements, and over 80 vendors, in the park from 10am - 4pm. Then, finish off the night with a spectacular lighted boat parade at 6pm featuring 30-50 illuminated boats and a captivating fireworks display to celebrate the 26th anniversary of this event.
