NASCAR Hall of Fame

400 E. MLK Jr. Blvd., Charlotte, NC 28202

Kick off your trip in Uptown Charlotte at the NASCAR Hall of Fame, where the sport’s greatest legends are honored. Take your time exploring exhibits like Glory Road, which features 19 race-used cars from NASCAR’s 75-year history, and test your skills in interactive exhibits, including a virtual painting booth and a race simulator.

Penske Racing

11105 Treynorth Drive, Cornelius, NC 28031

The next day, dive deeper into NASCAR’s roots by touring race team shops around Mooresville and Concord. Start at Penske Racing, where you can watch mechanics at work from a second-floor viewing area, then stop by the Memory Lane Museum to see more than 100 historic automobiles

Hendrick Motorsports

4400 Papa Joe Hendrick Blvd., Charlotte, NC 28262

In Concord, visit Hendrick Motorsports, where exhibits showcase Jeff Gordon’s racing legacy, and peer through the shop windows to see cars being prepped for Kyle Larson, Chase Elliott, William Byron and Alex Bowman.

Pulliam’s

4400 Old Walkertown Road, Winston-Salem, NC 27105

After two days of high-speed excitement, shift gears with a day trip to Winston-Salem. Grab a legendary hot dog at Pulliam’s, a small roadside stand beloved by locals. Former NASCAR CEO Bill France Jr. loved them so much that he would divert his corporate plane to Winston-Salem so he could pick up a few on the way to a race.

Childress Vineyards

1000 Childress Vineyards Road, Lexington, NC 27295

Then make a pit stop at Childress Vineyards in Lexington, owned by former driver and team owner Richard Childress, where you can sample award-winning chardonnays and merlots before heading back to Charlotte.

Coca-Cola 600 at Charlotte Motor Speedway

5555 Concord Parkway S, Concord, NC 28027

On race day, beat the traffic by arriving early at Charlotte Motor Speedway for the Coca-Cola 600, the longest race on the NASCAR Cup Series schedule and a Memorial Day weekend tradition. Before the green flag drops, take in the prerace concerts, military tributes, and flyovers, then watch as drivers battle it out from daylight to dusk — a dramatic shift that often shakes up the standings. No matter where you’re sitting, the track’s massive 80-foot-tall, 200-foot-wide HD screen ensures you won’t miss a moment of the action.
