As you head west toward a Blue Ridge Mountains vacation near Asheville or its neighboring foothills towns, stop in this Welcome Center, which is open daily from 8 a.m.-5 p.m. It's closed on New Year's Day, Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Eve and Christmas Day.
