Sept. 26 Report - Stone Mountain State Park

Roaring Gap

We still have a lot of green, but some leaves are beginning to show signs of color throughout the park. Tulip poplar trees are turning gold and the dogwoods are starting to turn red. During the next week we expect a gradual increase in color of the tulip poplars and dogwoods. We should see peak color in three weeks.
