Jennette’s PierOct. 12 Report - Jennette's Pier, Nags Head

Oct. 13, 2013, 1000 feet out at the end of Jennette’s Pier, Trevor Farrand of McMurray, Pa. holds a 50.5 inch red drum which he released.

Fall ocean fishing is in full swing, with good runs of large red drum and keeper puppy drum. Anglers are also catching bluefish, sea mullet, spot, croaker and the occasional speckled trout.

Water temperature is in the upper 60s. Surfers are enjoying the consistent autumn swell and warm water. Expect good fishing to continue this week.
