Oct. 11 Report - Crowders Mountain State Park

Kings Mountain

All our slopes are slowly beginning to show faint hints of yellow. Predominant colors now are more pale green to yellow-green, rather than the dark green from two weeks ago.

The dry weather seems to be affecting the change at the park this year. Leaves are falling, but they are not really changing color until they are on the ground. Hopefully the color change will improve by the time of our Fur, Fangs and Feathers Fall Festival on Nov. 2 from 10 am-3 pm.
