Oct. 10 Report - Pilot Mountain State Park

Pinnacle

Not a whole lot of change this week here at Pilot Mountain State Park. Tulip poplar trees are still holding a few yellow and brown leaves, and some scattered hickories are showing some color. Some of the sourwoods and dogwoods are still a nice red.

During the next week or so we expect more color in the maples, sassafras and oaks soon after. There are probably around two weeks until peak.
