Lake Waccamaw

Toby Hall and Donald EdmundsOct. 10 Report - Lake Waccamaw State Park

Oct. 10, 2013, Canal Cove on Lake Waccamaw.

Gorgeous fall flowers are in full bloom at Lake Waccamaw State Park, including blazing star, goldenrod, spider wort and golden asters. Panoramic views of Lake Waccamaw are a splendor in the fall, and the lake has some of the most spectacular sunrises and sunsets. The lake is a very peaceful and tranquil place during the fall and is a great spot to view a variety of birds and wildlife.

A few of our upcoming programs are an Afternoon Paddle on Lake Waccamaw, Owl Prowl and a Read to Lead program. For more information, please call the park office at (910) 646-4748 or check our website.
