Nov. 1 Report - Crowders Mountain State Park

Kings Mountain

We are pleased to announce the frost last week was the catalyst needed to start the color change at the park. Colors will be muted this year, but we are finally getting the yellow-gold, yellow-orange colors that are typical for this area and species in the park. There are, of course, red accents here and there.

Peak color should appear over the next two weeks, and it's just in time for our Fur, Fangs and Feathers Fall Festival this Saturday, Nov. 2 from 10 am–3 pm. We expect high visitation this weekend, so come prepared to see lots of people.
