Description

THIS EVENT IS CANCELLED BECAUSE OF FLOODINGIn April 1865, Union forces under the command of General Alvan C. Gillem, acting on orders issued by General Stoneman, tried to attack Asheville via Swannanoa Gap. They were turned back by a Confederate force of infantry and artillery. Failing to take Asheville via Swannanoa Gap, they first moved south to Rutherfordton, then west, passing through Green River Plantation. Come to the Plantation and experience what it was like to be in that Civil War battle. Call for more information.

Do we preorder tickets or buy on the days of the re-enactment? How would I become a part of this re-enactment in any form thats needed? Thank you - Sharon
