Sponsored by Smithfield Foods, Suds & Swine will begin on Friday with music, food and beer trucks, a 20 foot inflatable pig and more. The hogs will be handed out to the competition teams at 7 p.m. and the scent of NC pork will fill the air.
Saturday kicks-off with the judging of the BBQ at 8 a.m. The cooking competition will also include a “backyard”/local grill-off. Music will fill the air as various musicians take the stage. A downtown Farmer's and Craft Market will add to the activities. Once the pork is judged, it will be mixed, sauced and sold by the pint and as sandwiches. Beer trucks will also be onsite Saturday.
Suds & Swine is a two-day festival as part of The NC Whole Hog BBQ Competition.
