Director Martin Santangelo has brought to life the extraordinary art of Francisco de Goya through the language of flamenco. Featuring a company of dancers, singers, and musicians whose mastery of flamenco stretches the boundaries of the art form. And tonight, for one night only, you have the incredible chance to experience this in High Point!
Choreographed by Bessie Award- winning principal dancer Soledad Barrio and Martin Santangelo, the production reveals Goya’s scorching political criticisms and his penetrating examinations of the human condition.
"Searching for Goya" consists of approximately 10-12 vignettes inspired by Francisco de Goya’s paintings, featuring original music, wardrobe and lighting design as well as original mask design by world-renowned artist Mary Frank.
