Join us as we light up the streets of Saluda with the glow of holiday cheer at our annual Saluda Hometown Christmas event. Set against a backdrop of twinkling lights and winter magic, this beloved local tradition takes place on the second Friday of December. It’s a festive occasion that brings together families, friends and visitors to share in the joy of the season.
Saluda’s local businesses are the heart of the Hometown Christmas event. Experience the warmth of the holiday season with an array of activities designed to delight all ages. From sipping on hot chocolate to enjoying freshly baked cookies, our local businesses go above and beyond to spread holiday cheer. Stroll through our charming streets as you listen to the melodious sounds of carolers and enjoy the late-night shopping offered by our welcoming shopkeepers.
The air is filled with music during the event, thanks to performances by Mountain Song. These musicians grace various locations around town, including Main Street and the Visitor Center, bringing holiday classics and contemporary carols to life. Their music not only enhances the festive atmosphere but also brings the community together in song.
The night concludes with a poignant ecumenical service at the Saluda First Baptist Church on Henderson Street, starting at 8 p.m. This service is a beautiful tradition that unites different community members in reflection and celebration of the holiday spirit.
