A beloved local tradition since 2015, Pumpkin Fest returns to Brevard’s historic Silvermont Park for a family-friendly Halloween celebration during five weekends in October.
Organized by the volunteer-led Friends of Silvermont Pumpkin Fest Team, the event transforms the park with 20 lighted displays along an accessible, paved, one-third-mile trail. Guests can wander through scenes such as “Land of Waterfalls,” “Under the Sea,” “Butterfly Garden,” “Pirates Cove” and “Ghostly Circle."
Children’s activities include a white squirrel scavenger hunt, supervised play areas, dress-up stations, photo opportunities, pumpkin coloring, chalk drawing, storytelling and gentle sword fighting with pirate actors at Pirates Cove.
Visitors can also enjoy live music from local performers, face painting, games and food trucks serving local eats. Tours of the historic Silvermont mansion are available during the festival.
Proceeds from admission and parking support the upkeep and enhancement of the historic home and surrounding park. Children three and under get free admission; admission is $5 for children ages 3-12; and 13 and older is $7.
The event dates:
-Saturday, October 3
-Friday, October 9 and Saturday, October 10
-Friday, October 16 and Saturday, October 17
-Friday, October 23 and Saturday, October 24
-Friday, October 30
