Celebrating the rich coastal heritage and fresh, local flavors of North Carolina’s Outer Banks. Held along the scenic waterfront in Nags Head, the festival brings together more than 50 local vendors and a lineup of top Outer Banks restaurants, all showcasing the very best in regional seafood and cuisine. Festival-goers can sample a wide variety of dishes prepared by local restaurants, from freshly shucked oysters and clam chowder to shrimp, crab and locally caught fish. These chefs highlight the flavors of the coast with creative takes on classic seafood favorites, offering small plates and tastings that let visitors experience a wide range of menu items in one place. In addition to the restaurant offerings, the festival features more than 50 vendors, including artisans, specialty food producers and local businesses.
Guests can browse handcrafted goods, coastal art, jewelry, home décor, sauces, and other unique products that reflect the culture and creativity of the Outer Banks community. More than just a food event, the festival is a full-day experience with live music, cooking demonstrations, educational exhibits and family-friendly activities. It celebrates the region’s working waterfront and fishing heritage, giving visitors a deeper appreciation for how local seafood goes from the water to the plate.
