Ring in 2026 with the Berry Ball Drop at The Berry Patch!
Richmond County is kicking off the New Year in the sweetest way possible—at the world’s largest strawberry! Families, friends, and visitors are invited to join us in Ellerbe, NC, for the Berry Ball Drop, a one-of-a-kind celebration filled with live music, local food, and a dazzling berry-themed twist on tradition.
The festivities begin at 8:00 PM on Wednesday, December 31, 2025 at The Berry Patch, 351 Cargo Road in Ellerbe. Guests will enjoy live entertainment and a variety of local food trucks serving up delicious bites throughout the evening. As the clock strikes midnight, the crowd will gather to watch a giant 12-foot glowing strawberry descend, officially welcoming in 2026 in true Berry Patch fashion. Immediately following the ball drop, the night sky will light up with a spectacular fireworks display—adding even more sparkle to the celebration.
The fun continues into the New Year! On Thursday, January 1, 2026, the celebration moves to the Richmond County Agricultural Center, where food trucks will return to serve up traditional New Year’s Day favorites—perfect for starting the year with good food, good company, and good luck.
