NC Trail Days

Join us in Elkin for a four-day celebration of the great outdoors. Held annually, this festival highlights local, state and nationally sanctioned trails for a full weekend of outdoor fun.

Bring your boots, bikes and boats to connect with fellow trail lovers. Enjoy themed and self-guided hikes, river cleanups, Yadkin River paddles and a Friday evening block party. The weekend includes free live music, a vendor village packed with outdoor gear and an overland vehicle showcase. Elkin is alongside the Yadkin River and at the intersection of three major trails: the NC Mountains-to-Sea Trail, the Overmountain Victory National Historic Trail and the Yadkin River State Trail.

The Elkin area boasts a growing trail network with unique experiences like forest bathing trails, birding trails, the Yadkin Valley Wine Trail and top-notch road and mountain biking routes. Located just below the Blue Ridge Parkway and between Stone Mountain and Pilot Mountain state parks, the area offers exceptional outdoor opportunities.
