Come join the celebration! Oyster lovers can enjoy competitions, live music and coastal traditions at the 45th annual North Carolina Oyster Festival.
Hear live music from The Caroline Keller Band, Gary Lowder & Smokin’ Hot, Chocolate Chip & Company, and The Embers featuring Craig Woolard. Enjoy fresh seafood, sweet treats and other fare from a variety of food vendors, then browse handmade goods and one-of-a-kind finds from nearly 100 vendors.
Competitions include the Oyster Shucking Contest and Oyster Eating Contest on October 17, followed by the Oyster Stew Cook-Off on October 18.
This year will include an all-you-can-eat oyster vendor, so come hungry and be ready to celebrate one of the coast’s favorite traditions. Check the website for information regarding parking and shuttles, schedule of events and Best Practices.
