As the home of the NC 4th of July Festival for more than 220 years, Southport knows how to honor the red, white and blue unlike any other! In celebration of America's 250, this year's event promises to be bigger and better than ever.
Watch patriotic boats parade down the Cape Fear River, view military exhibits, attend a pro wrestling match, witness the naturalization ceremony, shop the local waterfront market stalls, enjoy live music and more. Kids can look forward to the petting zoo, kid's zone, and other family friendly events. The festival's iconic fireworks display will wrap up the week-long festival.
For a bit of 4th of July beach fun, visit nearby Oak Island for its annual "Beach Day" celebration, a part of the festival's activities.
